Gangaur Festival:-

Celebrated: In and around Rajasthan
Duration of Celebration: 16 Days 


Gangaur is a momentous festival of Jaipur, mainly intended for the women. Gangaur festival is extensively applauded and celebrated all over the state of Rajasthan. The word Gangaur is derivative from two words, 'Gan' and 'Gauri' which are synonyms of 'Siva' and his spouse 'Parvati' respectively. The festival of Gangaur begins with the ensuing day of Holi and persists for about 2 weeks. Gangaur is celebrated in the honor of Goddess Gauri, who is measured as the sign of virtue, devotion, fertility and a perfect married woman. 


Elephant Festival:-

Elephant Festival is one of the mainly admired festivals of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Elephant festival has its own appeal and is celebrated each year in March on the event of Holi, the festival of colors. The festival has a sole concept of its own kind. The colorful festival of Holi is eminent all over India, but the festival gets several more flavors added to it, when it unites with the Elephant festival of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Elephants grow to be the foremost attraction of this festival in their classy attires. 


Kite Festival:-

Celebrated: Jaipur, Rajasthan
Duration of Celebration: One day 


Kite Festival is a trendy festival of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Kite flying is enjoyed by people of all age-groups. However, 14 January, the day of Makar Sankranti, makes the official day for flying kites in Jaipur. People make most out of the festival by flying kites for the entire day. The sky turns into next to unseen as numerous kites cover it. People form groups and fly kites, to take pleasure in the occasion to its full. With each cut loose of a kite, people fill the surroundings noise, "Woh Kata". 


Teej Festival:-

Celebrated: In and around Rajasthan
Duration of Celebration: One to two days 


Teej Festival is one of the most admired festivals of India. Festival of Teej is extensively celebrated, but its real charm can be established only in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Teej celebrates the advent of monsoon, after the scorching sun of summers. Teej is celebrated in the month of 'Shravan' (July-August), according to the Hindu calendar. Teej is an imperative cultural festival for the womenfolk of Rajasthan, wherein they pray for the well being of their husbands. This festival marks the start of festive period in Rajasthan.
