Jantar Mantar:-

Jantar Mantar is the major of five astronomical observatories constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh during the era 1727-1734 in north India. It is situated very shut to the City Palace. Hawa Mahal was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Singh as part of City Palace. It was a porch of the Zenana (women) chamber. Its point was to allow royal ladies to scrutinize everyday life in the street below without being seen. It is a five storey high red sandstone structure complete with over 950 windows. The wind (or hawa in Hindi) flows through these windows giving the palace its name.
