CITY PALACE


CITY PALACE

Situated in the capital of Rajasthan, the City Palace of Jaipur or the major palace is an impressive blend of traditional Rajasthan and Mughal architecture. The enormous palace complex inhabits one seventh of the walled city of Jaipur. Initially constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh II of the Kachhwaha clan of Rajputs, additions have been made to the palace complex by lots of his successors.

The complex is alienated into a sequence of courtyards, sprawling gardens and buildings. It is home to quite a few palatial structures akin to the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Badal Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

City Palace Jaipur
The City Palace is an impressive unify of traditional Rajput and Mughal architecture. It is an enormous palace complex occupying almost one-seventh of the Pink City. City Palace was initially built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. The complex is alienated into a sequence of courtyards, sprawling gardens and buildings. It is home to quite a few palatial structures akin to the Chandra Mahal (home to present Maharajah of Jaipur), Mubarak Mahal (shelter a textile museum), Diwan-e-Khas (or Hall of Private spectators housing the two major silver vessels in the world, which are duly mentioned in the Guinness book), the Diwan-e-Aam (or Hall of Public viewers) and the gateway Ridhi Sidhi Pol (with four small doorways adorned with motifs depicting the four seasons). One more integral part of the palace complex is the Hawa Mahal, standing away from the main complex.

Jal Mahal is on the way to Sisodia Rani Garden. A Rajput style architecture palace sits in the hub of the Maan-sarovar Lake. The lake is repeatedly dry in the summer but winter monsoons often turn it into a attractive lake filled with water hyacinths.
